Abstract:
To reduce the storage capacity required for storing image data as compared with the case where image data is stored as it is when including and storing the processed image data in history information indicating the content of the executed processing.SOLUTION: A character area extracting unit 32 extracts a character area and other areas from an image included in history information received by a data receiving unit 31. An OCR processing unit 33 converts the image (character image) of the character area extracted by the character area extracting unit 32 into text data by executing OCR processing. An image clipping unit 35 clips and obtains only part of the image information of the area other than the character area extracted by the character area extracting unit 32 based on a storage range determined by a storage range determination unit 34. A history information storage unit 37 stores the history information including the text data converted by the OCR processing unit 33 and the part of the image information acquired by the image clipping unit 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
