When image input from a scanner 202 takes place, a system control part 200 reads the attribute information of a radio tag in a document and controls the operation of the device in accordance with the attribute information. Also, the system control part 200 updates the attribute information based upon an image processing part 241 and rewrites the attribute information of the radio tag in the document to the attribute information updated. When image output to a printer 203 takes place, the attribute information of the radio tag in the document is updated based upon the image processing part 241 and writes the new attribute information into a radio tag in recording paper.
