Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a prescribed processing at high speed without causing cache mistake in the case of securing an area to store decoded image data.
SOLUTION: A luminance signal and a color difference signal corresponding to the luminance signal are assigned to storage areas in a data memory to store the luminance signal and the color difference signal in the data memory so that the luminance signal and the color difference signal corresponding to the luminance signal are copied at different areas of a data cache. Furthermore, as to a plurality of picture element data corresponding to picture elements related to each other in the case of decoding, for example, a plurality of image data are assigned to different areas of the data memory and stored so that the image data are copied in different addresses of the data cache.
