Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely construct a print data processing environment whose convenience is made excellent capable of transferring print data whose printing is requested to only a selected printing device by a protocol following a Web server function.
SOLUTION: At the time of issuing a Print-URI request designating the URL of print data registered in an IPP client 101 to all IPP printers 102-104 on a network, the print data are returned only to the printer 104 which issues a Pull method request at first with respect to the registered print data, and an error is returned to the following Pull methods requested from the other printers 103 and 104.
