When a periodical check command is received in a step S21, a HEAD instruction is outputted to a WWW server in a step S22 to acquire the update date. The last update dates registered and the last update date included in a response to the HEAD instruction are compared with each other in a step S23, and the update date is preserved in a step S24 in the case that updated web pages are found. In a step S25, a GET instruction is outputted to the WWW server to acquire data of updated web pages; and in a step S26, updated part extraction processing is executed. In a step S27, setting of output is discriminated; and in a step S28 or 29, texts corresponding to updated parts and a voice output command are outputted at a timing based on setting.
