Abstract:

To display recorded program information on a tape which is recorded by another VTR, even when the tape is set.

When recording program information onto a tape, recording program information is prepared and such recording program information is stored in a storage part 16 in relation with tape identification information, simultaneously copied into a memory 19 and disclosed to other equipment on a network. When the tape is set and the identification information is read, relevant recording program information is retrieved from the storage part 16. But when there is no recording program information, such information is retrieved through the network from the disclosed information of the other equipment. The retrieved result is sent onto a display device 18 and the set recording program information is displayed navigationally.
