Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing device that can conduct charging to a power storage component by using electromotive force generated in a driving component such as a motor without increasing a power load.SOLUTION: The information processing device is a copier equipped with a main processor 72 to be operated by a program stored in a memory 73, which comprises: a polygon motor 19 that continues idling even after driving thereof is stopped so that electromotive force is generated as regenerative energy until the motor is stopped; and a power storage component 78 that stores the regenerative energy generated in the polygon motor 19. The main processor 72, when power supply thereto is cut off during the renewal of the program, is operated by power from the power storage component 78 so as to continue the renewal of the program.
