Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress broadcast contents from being illegally utilized.
SOLUTION: A digital broadcast receiver 4 receives network contents from a contents server 9 via the Internet 8. The network contents references broadcast contents broadcast by broadcast stations 1-1, 1-2. Bits of a broadcast wave of the broadcast contents broadcast by the broadcast stations 1-1, 1-2 include address information of an authentication information server 10. The digital broadcast receiver 4 accesses the authentication information server 10 via the Internet 8 on the basis of the address information to request the server 10 to authenticate whether or not referencing of the broadcast contents is permitted on the basis of the network contents. The digital broadcast receiver 4 controls the referencing of the broadcast contents on the basis of the network contents according to the authentication result.
