PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately set a reception frequency when information on a restricted area such as traffic information is received by judging whether information on an area to which a present position belongs is contained in a received signal or not and switching the reception frequency when the information on the area to which the present position belongs is not contained.
SOLUTION: The input of present position data is received at any time (101) and a mesh number to which the position belongs is calculated (102). Table data prepared for an FM controller is searched (10) and the frequency by which data on the mesh number can be obtained is judged (104). It is judged whether the frequency exists in a frequency list corresponding to the judged mesh number or not (105). When data are judged so that they cannot be received by the frequency shown by the frequency list, the frequency except the frequency which is judged so that it cannot be received is temporarily set for the reception frequency (107). When data are judged to be received by the reception frequency, the frequency is switched/changed to the frequency which is temporarily set (110).
