An information recording medium of this invention includes a data recording area for recording data, and a learning area for recording the information on recording conditions. The learning area includes: an area already used for learning where the information on the recording conditions is recorded; an area not yet used for learning where the information on the recording conditions is not recorded; and a boundary area for recording the discrimination information for discriminating the boundary between the area already used for learning and the area not yet used for learning. The boundary area is between the area already used for learning and the area not yet used for learning.
