Title:
INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH087342
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the deterioration of a recording characteristic and durability even when initializing information and a magnetic stripe are thermally provided by interposing a heat insulating layer between an information recording layer and a printing layer.

CONSTITUTION: In an information recording medium a heat insulating layer 11 is provided between a protective layer 12 and a printing layer 16 and is made of a material having the thermal conductivity which is lower than that of the protective layer 12. Thereby, heat is cut off by the heat insulating layer 11 when initializing information is provided. For the heat insulating layer 11, the lower the thermal conductivity is than that of the protective layer, the better. The heat insulating layer is easily obtained by mixing a material having lower thermal conductivity than that of a general resin which is used for the protective layer. For a material having low thermal conductivity, there are glass wool, diatomaceous earth, asbestos, cork, rubber and the like.
