PURPOSE: To fetch information relating to an object by means of a voice, by hooking a voice memory device and a device for converting the information which has been read out from this memory to a sound signal, to the prescribed object, and connecting an earphone and batteries from the outside.

CONSTITUTION: From a memory 110 for recording a voice information relating to an object as a digital signal, the information is fetched by a microcomputer 100, is converted to a sound signal by a D/A converter 120, and is outputted to an earphone through a terminal 320. Electric power sources E1, E2 requred for the operation are supplied only when the earphone has been inserted from terminals 312, 313. A recording device 410 for this voice memory 400 amplifies a signal of a microphone 200 by an amplifier 210, and converts it to a digital signal by a sample holding circuit 220 and an A/D converter 230. This signal is written in the memory 110 of the voice memory 400 through the microcomputer 100.
