Abstract:

To provide an information recording system which can shorten the time required for the total recording including recording of sub-information signal in a lead-in area or lead-out area.

The information recording system S which records the main information signal and sub-information signal on an optical disk 1 has a pickup 2 for recording the main information signal in the main information recording area and sub-information signal in the lead-in area and lead-out area respectively, a slider 3 for moving the pickup 2, and a CPU 17 for moving the pickup 2 and recording the sub-information signal in the spare time when the pickup 2 does not record the main information signal. The CPU 17 controls the pickup 2 and slider 3 to record the sub-information signal in the main information recording area inside the inner periphery position of the lead-out area.
