An information sharing system includes a transmitter and communication terminals. The transmitter includes generation means and transmission means. The generation means generates transmission data. The transmission means transmits the transmission data generated by the generation means to one of the communication terminals that is determined by a predetermined multicast address. Each of the communication terminals includes storage means, reception means and display processing means. The storage means stores address data in which location information for determining a predetermined range and a multicast address corresponding to the location information are associated with each other. The reception means receives transmission data that is transmitted from the transmitter to a multicast address associated with a current location in the address data. The display processing means displays contents of preselected items from the transmission data that is received by the reception means, on a display device.
