PURPOSE: To obtain reproducing information with excellent S/N even at the inner circumference of a recording disk medium by using a control signal in response to the position of a read head so as to correct a noise cancellation signal formed based on a reproducing information signal.
CONSTITUTION: A noise cancellation signal is formed and fed to a voltage control amplifier circuit 36 by a noise cancellation signal forming section 35 provided with an HPF 31, a limiter 32 and a level adjusting circuit 33 or the like based on a signal reproduced and demodulated after being read from the recording disk medium via a reproducing amplifier circuit 25 and a demodulation section 30. On the other hand, an envelope detector 14 in response to the output of the circuit 25 detects the envelope of the reproducing signal changing in response to the read position to output a control signal corresponding to the position of the read head and supply the signal to the circuit 36. Thus, the noise cancellation signal corrected depending on the location of the read head 20 is outputted from the circuit 36, the noise component of a demodulation signal is eliminated via a subtraction circuit 38 and the reproducing information with excellent S/N is obtained even from the inner circumference of the recording medium.
