Abstract:

To provide an information storage medium for storing a stream compatible with a digital TV broadcast program and management information suitable for management of the stream.

The information storage medium includes management areas (6) on which the management information is recorded and data areas (7) on which contents data is recorded, the contents data recorded in the data areas include a plurality of object data, each of the object data includes a plurality of data units, each data unit includes a plurality of packs, each pack includes a plurality of packets, the management information recorded in the management areas includes program chain information for managing a reproduction order of data included in the object data, the program chain information includes cell information, and the cell information includes information for particularizing a reproduction object.
