The retry process contents are stored in a retry table 111 of a control part 110 in every retry processing frequency, and the table 111 is expanded to a RAM 112 in the retry processing order when a power supply is turned on. Then a retry process control part 113 executes the retry processes in the retry processing order that is expanded to the RAM 112. Furthermore, a retry process automatic setting part 114 sets the retry processing frequency and order when the table 111 is expanded to the RAM 112 so as to effectively execute the retry processes within an allowable time. Thus, the order of retry process contents is changed in response to a fixed allowable time that is previously set by a host device. Then the retry processes are executed. For instance, the order of retry process contents is changed into an order where an error easily occurs.
