Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an information system in which data are exchanged with a receiver such as TV or VTR through the use of a liquid crystal monitor having a remote control function, a TV video is displayed on the liquid crystal monitor, the TV video is recorded in the VTR, and a reproduced image is displayed on the liquid crystal monitor.
SOLUTION: The system includes: an IR transmitter/receiver 2 for receiving a first video signal from a TV tuner; an IR transmitter/receiver 3 for receiving a second video signal from the VTR 5; and the liquid crystal monitor 1 which comprises: a switch 36 for selecting the IR transmitter/receiver 2 or 3; a remote control part for transmitting by radio a signal for requesting the first or the second video signal to the IR transmitter/receiver 2 or 3 which is selected by the switch 36, and receiving by radio the first or second video signal; and a liquid crystal screen 7 for displaying the first or second video signal which is received by the remote control part.
