The infrared absorption particle comprises perovskite type oxide fine particles including at least one kind of A site elements selected from the group consisting of Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba and Pb, and at least one kind of B site elements selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr and Hf, and being doped with at least one kind of elements D selected from the group consisting of Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu, Al, Ga, In, Tl, V, Nb and Ta. The perovskite type oxide fine particles have a diffuse reflectance of infrared rays at 1.0 μm wavelength of 50% or lower, and a diffuse reflectance of infrared rays at 2.0 μm wavelength of 25% or lower.
