Title:
INFRARED DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05256698
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To detect a detective object stably even in a static state without receiving any effect of ambient temperature change by detecting infrared rays past two infrared filters with each of different infrared wavelength transmission bands with respective infrared detecting elements. CONSTITUTION:Two infrared detecting elements 3 and 4 consisting of a thermopile element each are provided with different infrared wavelength transmission bands, detecting infrared rays past two interference filters 1 and 2 mounted with a dielectric multilayer film on a silicon substrate are detected. These elements 3, 4 are clamped to a heat equilibrium plate 5 so as to have almost the same detecting area. In addition, since the filters 1, 2 show each of different infrared transmitting characteristics in the specified wavelength range, a different part is produced in each output of these elements 3, 4 only at a time when infrared rays in this range were incident. If a human body is in the detection area, such a voltage output as larger than the specified level one is produced in an interval between both these outputs of the detecting elements 3 and 4 due to something a difference in the infrared wavelength transmitting bands of these filters 1 and 2. This voltage output is amplified (6) and inputted into a voltage comparator 8, thus the existent human body is detected.
