Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent deterioration from easily occurring during storage in manufactur ing and transportation under the condition that available reflectance in IR region and transmittance in visible light region are maintained by a method wherein coating, which consists of (2n+1) layers (n≥1) in total produced by laminating transparent oxide layers at (2n+1)the layer (n≥0) and silver layer at 2nth layer (n≥1), is produced on transparent base and amorphous oxide layer is provided at the outermost layer.

CONSTITUTION: Under the condition that transparent oxide layer 2 is employed at the first layer, which comes into contact with transparent base 1, silver layer 3 is employed at the second layer and transparent oxide layer 2 is employed at the third layer in repeated order so as to employ transparent oxide layer at (2n+1)the layer by all means. And amorphous oxide layer 4 as protective layer is coated on the trans parent oxide layer. As the value (n) of (2n+1) layers, 3 or less is employed in order to hold the visible light transmittance of 70 % or more. As the amorphous oxide layer 4, oxide, which contains at least one element selected from the group consisting of zirconium, titanium, hafnium, tin, tantalum and indium and at least one element selected from the group consisting of boron and silicon. The preferable thickness of the amorphous oxide layer is 100 - 400 .
