Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ingot casting device and ingot casting method capable of producing a plurality of ingots of a uniform shape with less entrainment of an oxide and less damage at low cost, and also capable of producing them stably and increasing the production by changing configurations of a casting mold.SOLUTION: An ingot casting device 1 for manufacturing a plurality of high-purity low oxygen concentration ingots that are uniformly shaped includes: mold bodies 2 and 3 having a concave ingot formation part 21 for storing molten metals 40 and 40 made by heating and melting metal materials 10A and 10B, and forming a plurality of ingots 60 and 60; and removable partition plates 30 and 30 for partitioning the ingot formation part 21 into a plurality of ingot casting chambers 20 and 20. The partition plates 30 and 30 are provided with a plurality of small through-holes 31 and 31 for keeping uniform the molten metal level of the molten metals 40 and 40 stored in each of the ingot casting chambers 20 and 20 partitioned by the partition plates 30 and 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
