To provide an ingot-making apparatus for molten metal, by which vacuum induction melting can be executed in high vacuum degree and the defective inclusion and the deterioration of the ingot surface state are not brought into.
Relating to this ingot-making apparatus of the molten steel, a melting chamber containing a vacuum induction melting furnace 2 and a casting camber 9 containing a molten steel pouring tube 3 and a casting base board 5 provided with a mold 4 are connected with a passage 10 provided with a passage shut-off mechanism 11 and in this passage, a launder 12 reciprocatively movable between the melting chamber 8 and the casting chamber 9 is disposed, a ladle 13 which opens at the upper part, and has a molten steel pouring hole 13a at the bottom part and closes this molten steel pouring hole 13a with a stopper rod 15 vertically movable, is interposed between the launder 12 and the molten steel pouring tube 3.
