CONSTITUTION: The injection-molded item of a resin composition that is prepared by blending into a thermoplastic polyester resin (optionally containing for example isophthalic acid or the like as a copolymerization constituent) having an inerent viscosity of 0.75W1.40 wherein about 75% by mole or more of the cyclic units are ethylene telephthalate one or more selected from a methacrylate resin [for example, methacrylic acid methyl (co-)polymer or the like], a saturated aliphatic olefinic resin (for example, high-, moderate- or low-pressure polyethylene or the like) and a styrenic resin (for example, polystyrene, a mixture of a styrene-butadiene copolymer with a rubber-like material, or the like) is subjected to matting treatment by sandblasting, coating or chemical etching. Thus, the injection-molded item of a polyester with matted pearly gloss can be obtained.
