Title:
INJECTION MOLDED PART PRODUCED FROM THERMOPLASTICALLY PROCESSABLE POLYMETHACRYLATE MOLDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2690481
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection molded product produced from a molding material based on polymethyl methacrylate and having excellent heat stability, good processability and high heat deformation resistance capable of becoming a comparing object.
SOLUTION: A thermoplastically processable polymethacrylate molding material consisting of at least 80wt.% of a methyl methacrylate monomer unit and up to 20wt.% of a monomer copolymerizable therewith and having soln. viscosity ηsp/c of 30-200ml/g is characterized by that heat deformation resistance (a) measured as Vicat softening temp. by DIN 53 460 is more than 120°C, tacticity syndiotactic triad (b) is more than 60%, a TD value (2% depolymerization at heating rate 5°/min) (c) is more than 290°C, light transmissivity (d) by DIN 1349 is more than 91% and residual monomer content (e) is less than 0.5% and produced by emulsion polymerization and the separation of water continued thereto (f). An injection molded part is produced from this polymethacrylate molding material.
