Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the restriction of the shape of a decorated molded article in injection molding in-mold decorating. SOLUTION: A decorated sheet S is heated and softened to be subjected to vacuum molding from the rear surface side of the sheet by a female mold 1 for vacuum molding and a male mold for vacuum molding is inserted in the space between both male and female molds for injection molding along with the molded decorated sheet to press the decorated sheet on the male mold for vacuum molding to the female mold 11 for injection molding and the decorated sheet is fixed to the female mold for injection molding by the evacuation on the side of the female mold for injection molding and, after the male mold for vacuum molding is discharged out of both male and female molds, the decorated sheet is integrated with a resin molded article by injection molding to obtain the decorated molded article. The unnecessary part of the decorated sheet after the molding on the male mold for vacuum molding may be trimmed. At this time, the trimmed decorated sheet may be allowed to escape by a slide core so as not to be delivered to the female mold for injection molding.
