Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink that can achieve optical density and scratch resistance of an image both at high levels.SOLUTION: The ink comprises a self-dispersion pigment, resin particles, a surfactant, a water-soluble organic solvent, and water, and is characterized in that: the surfactant comprises a fluorine-based surfactant represented by general formula (1) and having an HLB value of 11 or less determined by a Griffin method; the resin particles are at least one kind of particles selected from fluorocarbon resin particles and silicone resin particles; and the water-soluble organic solvent comprises at least one water-soluble organic solvent selected from (group A) glycerin, ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol, polyethylene glycol having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 or less, 1,3-propanediol, 1,4-butanediol, and diglycerol, in which a total content of the water-soluble organic solvent(s) in the group A is larger than a total content of a water-soluble organic solvent(s) other than the group A.
