To provide an ink cartridge which facilitates visual recognition that a proper amount of proper color ink has been injected when manufacturing the ink cartridge.
An ink cartridge 1 comprises a plurality of ink storage chambers 4 in a container body 2. On one outer side surface of the container body 2, an ink visual recognition flow channel 5, allowing visual recognition of ink which has been injected to the ink cartridge 1, is formed, which is constructed by a groove formed in a substantially meandering shape covered by a transparent or translucent sealing member from above, with one end part of the ink visual recognition channel 5 communicating with a first storage chamber 41 which is one of the plurality of ink storage chambers 4 while the other end part of the ink visual recognition channel 5 communicating with an ambient air introduction chamber 7 to which ambient air is introduced.
