To provide an ink which can be used in forming a color filter having a blue or green picture element of a high quality level.
The ink comprises at least one of a xanthene dye or an azo- pyrazolone dye, and a phthalocyanine dye to be represented by the formula (X is O or S; four Rs are each independently any one to be selected from a hydrogen atom, a sulfone group, a sulfamide group, a carboxyl group, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a cyno group, a nitro group, an amino group, a phosphono group, a trifluoromethyl group, a 1-6C linear or branched alkyl, a 1-6C linear or branched alkoxy group, an aryl group, a phenoxy group, a thiophenoxy group, a phenyl group, a salt of a sulfone group and a salt of a carboxyl group; the phthalocyanine dye has at least two sulfone groups or salts thereof; and n is an integer of 3-8).
