Abstract:
To provide an ink composition capable of forming an image excellent in light fastness irrespective of the types of a receptor.
This ink composition for an ink jet contains water, a moisture- retaining agent and a water-dispersing polymer latex containing a delocalized cationic azo-pigment derived from a quaternary salt formation of a nitrogen heterocyclic ring azo-pigment having the formula [wherein, Z, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, (n) and X are each a specific group or a number].
