PURPOSE: To obtain an ink composition containing a resin, an organic solvent dissolving a coloring agent and an additive, exhibiting resistance to cap off property and evaporation suppressing action on the solvent in the ink.
CONSTITUTION: This ink composition contains (A) a coloring agent, (B) a resin, (C) an organic solvent capable of dissolving the component B (a part of which is preferably an ester-based high boiling point solvent such as propylene glycol monoethyl ether acetate or ethylethoxy propionate) and (D) an additive comprising an aliphatic alcohol ester of an aliphatic mono- or di-carboxylic acid (preferably behenyl laurate or oleyl behenate) having 25°C to 65°C melting point and used in addition amount of 0.05-0.5wt.%, preferably 0.1-0.4wt.%, based on the total composition. Furthermore, the ink composition contains preferably 1-25wt.% component A, 1-30wt.% component B, 45-98wt.% component C, and the component D in the above amount.
