Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink discharge device which can accurately discharge an ink to an object to which the ink is to be discharged, and an ink discharge control method.
SOLUTION: The ink discharge device comprises an ink discharge section, a judgment section, and an ink discharge control section. The ink discharge section can relatively move in a main scanning direction Y and a subsidiary scanning direction X with respect to a medium. When a plurality of parts 2 to which pixels are to be printed (objects to which the ink is to be discharged) are interspersed on a substrate 4 as the medium, the judgment section computes time Yt and Xt of movement in the main scanning direction Y and the subsidiary scanning direction X, and judges whether or not Xt is less than or equal to Yt and sequentially uses them for selecting a subsequent target or a candidate target of ink discharge. Furthermore, the ink discharge control section may be designed to judge whether the ink discharge section is in a static condition (whether or not there is a vibration).
