To provide an ink capable of performing excellent printing operation in continuous printing and having excellent water resistance in a printed matter.

The inkjet ink contains a dye, an aqueous medium, an organic silicone compound and a weakly acidic strongly basic salt. The organic silicone compound is obtained by mixing 100 pts.mass of a hydrolyzable silane (A) having a N-containing organic group of the general formula 1: YR1mSiR23-m (1) (wherein, R1 is a 1-8C monovalent hydrocarbon group; R2 is a 1-4C alkoxy or acyloxy group; Y is a N-containing organic group; and m=0-1) or its partial hydrolyzate, and 5-200 pts.mass of a hydrolyzable silane (B) of the general formula 2: R3nSiR44-n (2) (wherein, R3 is a 1-8C monovalent hydrocarbon group; R4 is a 1-4C alkoxy or acyloxy group; and n=0-2) or its partial hydrolyzate, and subjecting the resultant mixture to hydrolysis.
