PURPOSE: To prevent a pressure from becoming excessively high and an ink container from being damaged even when a remaining quantity of ink is large, recover a printing operation assuredly by a priming operation even when the remaining quantity of ink is small, utilize the remaining ink effectively, and discharge bubbles and defective ink assuredly and simply.
CONSTITUTION: An ink jet cartridge comprises an ink bag 30 for storing a recording ink, a head chip 55 for discharging the ink to be fed from the ink bag 30 in accordance with recording content, a head case 10 for housing the ink bag 30 and a head FPC 56, and an ink feed case 50. At the upper part of the ink feed case 50, a pressing film 71 which communicates with the inside of the case and is made of a flexible member at least at a part of it is provided.
