Title:
INK-JET PRINTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000015795
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an ink-jet printer in which a plurality of print heads are linearly moved in a predetermined direction thereby plotting to a recording sheet and which can restrict a color shift resulting from a displacement of a jet position where each print head jets an ink to the same dot on the recording sheet.

A carriage 3 loading four print heads 41C, 41M, 41Y, 41Bk is driven along guide shafts 1, 2 thereby plotting. An encoder scale ES is formed at the guide shaft 1. Four encoder sensors 6C, 6M, 6Y, 6Bk are arranged on the carriage 3 facing the scale ES. These sensors are supported by the print heads 41C, 41M, 41Y, 41Bk respectively. An ink is jetted from each print head at a position based on an encoder information detected by the sensor supported by the print head.
