Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer which can efficiently recover ink mist while suppressing increase in the size of a mechanism for recovering the ink mist.SOLUTION: An ink jet printer 1 includes: an ink jet head 41 which is arranged on the upper side of a conveyed web W and discharges ink to the web W; a blowing part 51 which is arranged on the upper side of the center of the web W in the main-scanning direction within a prescribed range on the downstream side of the ink jet head 41 in the conveyance direction of the web W and blows the air to the lower side; a suction fan 66A which is arranged adjacently to one side of the web W in the main-scanning direction and suctions ink mist contained in the air stream flowing to the one side in the main-scanning direction along the web W out of the air streams from the blowing part 51; and a suction fan 66B which is arranged adjacently to the other side of the web W in the main-scanning direction and suctions the ink mist contained in the air stream flowing to the other side in the main-scanning direction along the web W out of the air streams from the blowing part 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
