Concretely, the thick film insulating layer 18 composed of photosensitive BCB interposed between a heater plate 12 and a channel plate 11 is patterned so as to expose heating elements 25 and the heating elements are arranged to separate pits 26 and an ink flow bypass pit 24 is formed between a reservoir 14 and an ink channel 16. Therefore, ink flows in the channel 16 in the vicinity of the closed end part 21 of the channel.
