To print clear vivid images when an ink essentially consisting of a fast-drying pigment or essentially consisting of a dye is used, by generating an ink aerosol when the ink is jetted and removing charges attracting aerosol from a surface of a plastic composing element.
An ink aerosol in the air is spread inside cover 24 by jetting ink. One of plastic components is processed by an antistatic finish to remove charges attracting aerosol from surfaces of composing elements and prevent at least part of the atmospheric ink aerosol from adhering to the surfaces. A modification process for antistatic surface to remove ionized air is carried out by blowing a flow of ionized air to a charged plastic surface of a printer 20 being assembled, and neutralizing the static charges attracting aerosol including what is generated from frozen polymer molecules buried under the surfaces of the composing elements.
