To provide an ink jet recorder in which troubles, e.g. abnormal ejection, can be prevented by limiting the oscillator voltage to a low level during interruption period of a driving signal.

A driving signal generating circuit 9 generates an ejection pulse having a set of an element for lowering the potential from an intermediate level down to a base level, an element for raising the potential from the base level to the intermediate level, and an ejection waveform element between the potential lowering element and the potential raising element. A shift register circuit 41, a latch circuit 42, a decoder 43, a control logic 44, a level shifter 45 and a switch circuit 46 select the ejection waveform element when recording is performed using that ejection pulse and select a pair of the potential lowering element and the potential raising element when recording is not performed.
