Title:
INK JET RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5669173
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the occurrence of disturbance in a deflected space caused by charging by a method wherein a shielded electrode is provided near recording paper for a charge deflection type ink jet recorder in which the means of carrying recording paper is charged with electricity possessed by the specified pole.

CONSTITUTION: To form an image of good quality, ink jet particles, which are allowed to adhere to recording paper 7 to be carried by a dielectric drum 8, are periodically charged with electricity possessed by either of the poles, using a charger 15 that consists of a DC power source 12, a charge control circuit 13, aperture board 14, etc. A shielded electrode 18 is provided near the recording paper 7 in the above apparatus in order to prevent the occurrence of disturbance in the deflected space of ink jet particles caused by the dielectric drum charged with electricity. Thus, the quality of printing can be improved.
