Title:
INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61172742
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reduce charging strain and recording strain, by bringing the relation between the length L of a charging electrode and the interval λ of ink particles to be L>20λ.

CONSTITUTION: Pressurized ink 32 is supplied to a nozzle 31 and exciting voltage is applied to a piezoelectric element 33 from an exciting voltage source 34 and forcible vibration is imparted to the ink column 32a injected from the nozzle 31 to generate ink particles 35. Information signal voltage is applied to charging electrode 36 from an information signal source 37 to charge ink particles 35. When the information signal voltage is set to negative polarity, the ink particles 35 are charged to positive polarity opposite thereto. Negative deflection voltage is applied to a deflection electrode 38a from a deflection voltage source 39. The ink particles 35 are reflected corresponding to charged quantity during the flight to the deflection electrode 38a and a recording image 2 is reproduced on the surface of a recording medium 1. No recording strain is generated when the relation between the interval λ of the ink particles and the length of the charging electrode is L>20λ.
