In a method for manufacturing an ink jet recording body, after at least one recording layer is formed on a forming face by film coating, the recording layer coated with the film is attached with pressure to a support (when the support already has other recording layer, other recording layer is attached) and the forming face is peeled off. At least one recording layer out of the recording layer having a coated film on the forming face and the other recording layer in the case that the support has already the other recording layer is damped by steam and attached with pressure, and the forming face is peeled off.
