To provide an ink-jet recording device capable of reducing the rate of trouble generation derived from an ink scraped off from a wiping member.
A wiping member 5 is mounted in a horizontal state on a wiper driving shaft 3 disposed in the direction orthogonal to a nozzle forming surface of a recording head 2 such that the end rim of the wiping member 5 slides with the nozzle forming surface with an arc-like locus according to a rotating operation of the wiper driving shaft 3. The wiping member moving direction at the sliding end part of the nozzle forming surface by the wiping member 5 is provided substantially orthogonally with respect to the carriage moving direction so that a problem of scattering in the carriage moving direction an ink scraped off by the wiping member can be solved.
