PURPOSE: To provide an ink-jet recording device which records a recording dots on an original position of a recorded medium and can record a recording liquid drop to be discharged without damaging the surface of a discharge port of a recording head at the time of cleaning.

CONSTITUTION: A temperature of a recording head 1 to be heated is raised by making use of a recording head heater 40, ink 12 is fed to the recording head 1 by pressure by a gear pump 18, after removal of the deposited ink remaining on a discharge port surface 11 of the recording head 1, the recording head 1 is heated by making use of the recording head heater 40 and a temperature drop of the recording head 1 is recovered.
