Title:
INK-JET RECORDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS61223072
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To carry out the titled recording in excellent compatibility to the material to be recorded, jet stability, jet response and continuous recording stability, etc., by ejecting a recording liquid containing a specific amount of a sulfolane derivative through a nozzle of a recording head, and letting the liquid fly in the form of droplets.

CONSTITUTION: A recording liquid is produced by dispersing or dissolving (A) preferably 3.0W1wt% recording agent in (B) a recording medium consisting of (i) 5W90wt% compound of formula (R1WR4 are H or CH3) (e.g. sulfolane) and preferably (ii) water or other organic solvent (e.g. diethylene glycol). The recording agent is e.g. a direct dye, etc., preferably soluble in the component B. The recording liquid 7 is ejected through the nozzle 5 of the recording head 1 is the form of droplets 11 and let fly toward the surface 12 to be recorded. When the recording agent is dispersible or hardly soluble in the component B, the particle diameter of the agent is preferably 1W0.01μ.
