To provide an inkjet recording paper which has successful ink absorption, is feathering-free and can develop a high-density image.
This inkjet recording paper has at least three ink absorptive layers such as a layer A, a layer B and a layer C laminated in that order, as viewed from the face side of the side where ink is printed, on a non-water absorbent support. In addition, each ink absorptive layer contains an inorganic fine particle and a binder. The recording paper is obtained by adding to the layer A an inorganic fine particle dispersion scattered in the presence of a water-soluble polyvalent metallic compound and drying the dispersion. Further, the recording paper is characterized in that the liquid transition level in 0.04" contact time measured by the Bristow process using a liquid mixed of diethylene glycol/triethylene glycol monobutyl ether/water in the mass ratio of 15/15/70, in compliance with J. TAPPI paper pulp test method No.51-87, is in the order of (the layer B)<(the layer C)<(the layer A).
