PURPOSE: To retransfer an ink transfer image to the second medium for transfer very easily and without being deformed by pressing the ink transfer image formed consisting of a mold lubricant positioned at the first medium for transfer side and an adhesive positioned at the second medium for transfer side.

CONSTITUTION: A pressure-sensitive retransfer adhesion adjustment layer 2, an ink layer 5 and a pressure-sensitive retransfer mold lubrication adjustment layer 6 are laminated on a filmy ribbon base 1. The pressure-sensitive retransfer adhesion adjustment layer 2 contains a microcapsule 4 which encloses a mold lubricant. A transfer layer containing ink P is thermally transferred to the first medium for transfer 10 by heat generation of a thermal element corresponding to characters or figures to be recorded. In this case, the pressure-sensitive retransfer mold lubricant adjustment layer 6 of the layer P is bonded to a retransfer sheet 10. After that, the layer P of the retransfer sheet 10 is pressed to the second medium for transfer, and the layer P is retransferred by the outflow of a mold lubricant and an adhesive which are broken in the microcapsules 4, 8.
