Title:
INK ROLL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3391976
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid wasteful ink from being produced by enabling an ink roll to be used for a long period of time.
SOLUTION: A cylinder 2 having a plurality of olifices 2a is set at given distances coaxial with the sleeve 1. A heat resistive felt 4 is wrapped round the outer peripheral surface of the cylinder, and heat resistive fabric 5 is wrapped round the outer peripheral surface thereof. An interstice defined between the sleeve and the cylinder is used as an ink chamber 7, and pelletized heat-melted ink 11 is supplied into the ink chamber from an ink supply port 1b provided on the flange 1a of the sleeve. Heat resistive fabric 5 serves to supply melted ink impregnated in the heat resistive felt 4 to printing types. The cylinder 2 having a plurality of olifices 2a is made of a metal with rigidity capable of withstanding a compression of the printing type.
