Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent a printing operation from being executed while keeping the quantity of ink in an ink reservoir part insufficient, by a method wherein only a place cylinder driving mechanism and an ink supply means are operated for a run-in operation when the quantity of the ink in the ink reservoir part is insufficient, and a printing process is started when the quantity of the ink in the ink reservoir part becomes sufficient.
CONSTITUTION: When ink in a reservoir part 1 becomes insufficient when printing is not conducted, information on the insufficiency is inputted to a control circuit 4. Even when a start key 5 is operated to issue a printing start instruction at this time, since there is no sufficient ink in the ink reservoir part 1 and, a signal to this effect has been outputted from a detecting circuit 3 to the control circuit 4. The control circuit gives an operation instruction to a first circuit 6 to make a plate cylinder rotate, while it gives an instruction also to a second circuit 8 to make a pump operate to supply ink to the reservoir part 1. When the quantity of the ink in the reservoir part 1 becomes sufficient, the instruction given to the second circuit 8 is canceled, while the operation instruction is outputted to a paper feeding mechanism 7 and thereby a printing process is started.
