Abstract:

To provide an edible inkjet ink composition which prevents the occurrence of color transfer that the printed part is transferred to another part even if printed on an orally disintegrable tablet, prevents the oral disintegrability from being impaired, and prevents ink in the printed part from bleeding even if the printed orally-disintegrating tablet is stored in high humidity.

The edible inkjet ink composition can be directly printed on an orally disintegrable tablet. The composition contains a natural coloring matter, a food binder, a water-soluble solvent, and water. The coloring matter is emulsion-dispersed. The food binder is selected from polysaccharide, disaccharide, and monosaccharide that is water-soluble and can be added to pharmaceuticals or food. The composition contains 16-40 wt.% of the food binder in ink.
